2005: Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna.

2010: Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Bologna.

2014: Phd in Biomedical Sciences, with specialization in Medical Biotechnologies, at the University of Bologna (course n. 26).

  • 2010-2012: Medical Director in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Hospital “Maggiore/C.A.Pizzardi” of Bologna.
  • From 2012: Medical Director in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Rizzoli-Sicilia Department of the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, located in Bagheria (PA).
  • He volunteered as Orthopedic Surgeon in collaboration with the association “Orthopaedics Onlus”, participating to 12 missions providing clinical and surgical assistance activities at the Cheshire Home Rehabilitation For Children (Kituo Cha Watoto Walemavu) of Mlali, Tanzania.
  • In 2010 he participated to a volunteering mission, in collaboration with the association “Annulliamo La Distanza Onlus”, at the Halibet Hospital of Asmara, Eritrea, performing orthopedic surgical activities in collaboration with local health personnel.

During the academic years 2010-11 and 2011-12 he provided educational activities, including classes, exams and tutoring for graduating students, for the courses in “Diseases of the Locomotor System”, “Traumatology” and “Sports Traumatology”, within the degree courses of “Sciences and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activity” and “Motor Sciences” at the Faculty of Motor Sciences of the University of Bologna.

  • He’s author of 43 publications on Italian and international scientific reviews, and of 4 book chapters in scientific works. He also contributed to the realization of 2 monographs.
  • He presented 52 reports, 17 scientific posters and 6 scientific exhibits to Italian and International conventions, among which, 29 reports and 5 scientific posters presented to the national conventions of the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SIOT), 4 scientific posters and 6 scientific exhibits presented at the Annual Meeting of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), 4 reports and 4 scientific posters presented at the conventions of the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT). He also curated the shooting, editing and voicing of 13 scientific films presented at the Annual Meeting of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
