As Director of the Muscolo-Skeletal Tissue Bank of the Emilia-Romagna Region at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, since 1997 he provided the release of over 2200 musculo-skeletal tissues, destined to transplant activities, after their biological validation. The tissues have been obtained first, by an aseptic processing in the operating room, and then, in sterilized class-100 dedicated environments, after their biological validation including the anamnestic and serological control of the donor, the lot and the environmental conditions.

Author of over 150 scientific publications and speaker at the main national and international conventions in the field.
