Information on the Course

The course consists in a 5-day update on bone and soft tissue tumors, with particular emphasis on clinical-pathologic and radiologic correlations, and includes practical studies under the microscope. It is addressed to orthopaedists, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and basic researchers. The aim of the course is to improve knowledge and competence on these pathologies, by working in multidisciplinary teams.

The course is usually held yearly, in April. It starts each morning with the discussion on, and correction of, the quizzes on the topics covered on the previous day. At the end of each session plenty of time is dedicated to the discussion of cases with the participants. During the whole Course, microscopes are available to study pathological slides. The last day participants are grouped into multidisciplinary teams to discuss a clinical case in front of the audience.
