Certified quality

With the evolution of healthcare the need for quality control is always more important, and development of quality management systems that in time will guarantee continuous improvement and transparency in the services granted are needed.

Rizzoli’s commitment to quality control dates back in the years and was always enriched, in accordance with specific law requirements:

  • In 2008, ISO 9001 certification was obtained, with particular reference to the Research Departments;
  • In 2010 the procedure for Accreditation of the Healthcare Departments according to the regulations defined by the Emilia-Romagna Region was carried out and results are expected shortly.

Rizzoli uses a double model for organization of control and improvement of quality:

  • ISO 9001:2008 Regulations: “Systems of Quality Management – Requirements”;
  • Regional Council Resolution n. 327 dated 27 February 2004, “Application of the Regional Law 34/98 in the subject of authorizations and institutional accreditation of healthcare structures and staff following the evolution of national norms. Revocation of previous measures”.

Efforts to adjust the organization, technology and structure requirements to these reference models was contemporary to the reassessment of organization and to the corporate management starting from the Corporate Act Resolution.

Under the Healthcare Management Staff Office, the Quality and Accreditation Office coordinates certification and accreditation activities as well as control and improvement of quality.
