Industrial research

The Laboratory offers its technology and medical-scientific skill for commissioned research projects. These may involve the full assessment of prostheses and devices, procedures and pharmacological treatments, and rehabilitation. Analyses can be performed by computer simulation, in-vivo on patients, or in-vitro on plastic skeletal models or on anatomical slides. The techniques normally used (see 'our work') can be applied separately or in combination, for the better understanding of the biological phenomena and mechanics involved before, during and after treatment, surgical or not. The possible multi-instrumental evaluation of knee, hip or ankle prosthesis including gait analysis, video fluoroscopy and radiostereometry is particularly effective.
