Promoted by Prof. Sandro Giannini, Director of the Orthopaedic Clinic of the University of Bologna – Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, and coordinated by Profs. Antonio Moroni and Maria Grazia Benedetti and by Lisa Berti, MD, the meeting that will be held on September 9th in Bologna (Aula Magna of the Rizzoli Research Center, Via di Barbiano 1/10) has reached its 4th Edition confirming that this formula has stimulated hundreds of young physicians to participate, over four-hundred are expected this year: fellows, from all over Italy, in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will present results of their research and will debate them with the Directors of the Post Graduate Schools.
“This meeting is an important scientific appointment – underlines Gainnini. – It collects a vast series of research projects carried out by physicians in university Post graduate Schools, with a high innovative potential for the rehabilitation of patients who suffer from orthopaedic, neurologic and rheumatic diseases.” A prize will be given to the four best lectures and they will be submitted for publication in an international Journal.
Under the auspices of MIUR (Ministry of Education, of the University and Research) and SIMFER. At noon the Vice-Chancellor for Research, Prof. Dario Braga of the University of Bologna, the Dean prof. Sergio Stefoni of the Faculty of Medicine, the Rizzoli Scientific Director prof. Francesco Antonio Manzoli, the Rizzoli Executive Officer Giovanni Baldi MD, and prof. Raffaele Gimigliano, Past-President of SIMFER (Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) will give their talk.
Followed by the lecture, held by the Director of the Post Graduate School in Pisa, prof. Bruno Rossi, on neurologic rehabilitation and in particular on cognitive recovery in relation to functional recovery.
