Clinical and/or Scientific interests

Biomedical research, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering on osteo-articular tissue . In particular, I studied new strategies to promote musculoskeletal tissue healing by stimulating intrinsic properties of MSC , including growth factors and cytokines release, that is a major research issue, recognizing that the regenerative potential of mesenchymal stromal cells is modulated by microenvironment .
 I studied  MSCs behavior in different pathophysiological settings using both static and dynamic  culture conditions, different external stimuli (hypoxia, inflammation,etc.) and different 3D models  (pellet, scaffold, 3D bioprinting).
