2008: Degree in Biological Sciences, University of Bologna, with a thesis entitled “Osteointegrazione di impianti ossei: Nanostruttura, Idrossiapatite, Biomimetismo”.

2015: PhD in “Biomaterials” with a research project entitled "Evaluation of new biomaterials and biotechnologies for osteochondral tissue engineering applications" at the University of Pisa.

• 2010-17: Contract Researcher (research activity in laboratories funded by “PORFESR 2007-2013 Task I.1.1: Creation of Industrial Research technopoles", Technological Platform: Life Sciences - Department “Rizzoli RIT - Research Innovation & Technology) at the BITTA Laboratory, Codivilla Putti Research Institute, Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute.
• From May 2009 to August 2010: Research contract within the research project entitled: "Combination of stem cells and scaffolds for the regeneration of structure in gastro-intestinal diseases. Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite and of software for image acquisition, processing and analysis. Experience in the execution of both manual interactive measurements and multiparameter automatic measurements on the acquired images.

Author of several papers on indexed international journals.

Preclinical research activities directed to the scientific-industry. In vitro and in vivo preclinical evaluations on biocompatibility, biofunctionality, bioactivity and therapeutic efficacy of biomaterials, scaffolds, implants and biomedical devices according to UNI EN ISO 10993. Systematic approach to biological evaluation of medical devices for industries and research centers for the commercialization and clinical transfer. Responsibilities: management of research projects, performing specific activities for research projects, relationships with customers.
