The ERN-BOND network, coordinated by Rizzoli, presents in Brussels the White Paper on diagnosis of imperfect osteogenesis

ERN–BOND, the European Reference Network dedicated to rare bone disorders, met in Brussels to discuss the results obtained in the first year of activity and to define future priorities. The first technical meeting of the network, coordinated by Dr. Luca Sangiorgi from the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, was held on February 27th-28th at the Brussels premises of the Emilia-Romagna Region.

A year after the official launch of the European Reference Network for rare diseases, the reference network for bone disorders prepared a white paper on the diagnosis of imperfect osteogenesis.

On February 28th, on the occasion of the Rare Disease Day, in the context of a public initiative the ERN-BOND contribution was presented at the European Parliament in the presence of European Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis. Together with Dr. Sangiorgi was Rizzoli CEO Mario Cavalli.

ERN-BOND, the European Reference Network for rare bone disorders coordinated by the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute comprises 38 centers in 10 EU countries.
