Delegation from Argentina and Uruguay visits Rizzoli

Study mission organized by the Emilia-Romagna Region to learn about the Emilian healthcare model

On Friday, July 4, a delegation from Argentina and Uruguay, composed by institutional representatives, healthcare professionals, and scholars, visited Rizzoli to delve deeper into the Emilian healthcare model.

The mission program, called Study Tour Bologna 2025, began on June 30 at the Regional Headquarters, with a meeting attended by Massimo Fabi, Councilor for Health Policies, who opened the meeting by welcoming the South American delegation. Then continued at some healthcare facilities such as the IRCCS Policlinico Sant'Orsola, the Castelfranco Emilia Community House of the Modena Local Health Authority and the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, as well as academic in-depth sessions at the University of Bologna and the Bologna Business School.

At Rizzoli, the delegation was welcomed by Andrea Rossi, General Director, who, together with Viola Damen, Health Care Director, and Milena Fini, Scientific Director. In that meeting was presented the history and unique features of the Institute. The visit continued in the departments of Pediatric Orthopedics and Traumatology and the Orthopedic and Traumatology Clinic II, in the 3D lav (design and printing laboratory) and finally at the Library.
