Line of Research - Innovative and prosthetic surgery

Description

Design and execution of preclinical (in silico/in vitro/in vivo) and clinical studies on reconstructive surgical techniques for the locomotor system, also in pediatric orthopedics and sports traumatology. Research focuses on the study of articular prostheses and implants, also custom-made, through rapid prototyping technologies, means of osteosynthesis, (bio)materials functionalized with antibacterial or bacteriostatic effect, advanced diagnostic investigations, robotics and surgical navigation, cinematic and dynamic, computational, mechanic and tribological analyses of movement, to improve prosthetic devices, surgical treatment and rehabilitative protocols.
