Technologies

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Windows operating system. Extensive experience with gait analysis technologies, including force platforms, pressure measurement systems, optoelectronic motion capture systems, instrumented insoles, inertial sensors, and surface electromyography systems. Strong programming skills in MATLAB and expertise in the analysis of large biomedical datasets. Experience in 3D body scanning using infrared technology. Proficient in 3D modelling software (Geomagic Control, Rhinoceros) and in the processing and analysis of clinical images in DICOM format.

Teaching activities

Co-supervisor of undergraduate and graduate thesis projects in Biomedical Engineering. Speaker at scientific seminars and educational events.

Scientific activities

Instrumental gait analysis in a laboratory setting. Participation in research projects focused on lower-limb biomechanics, with particular interest in foot and ankle structure and biomechanics. Design and development of custom orthoses for individuals with foot drop. Collaboration in research projects on diabetic foot and rare musculoskeletal disorders. Investigation of orthopedic footwear for plantar pressure offloading. Pre- and post-operative kinematic assessment of patients affected by lower-limb pathologies and deformities, including flatfoot, hallux valgus, and multiple osteochondromas. 
Presentation of scientific contributions at national and international conferences. Author of peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Foot and lower-limb biomechanics. Gait analysis, surface electromyography, and plantar pressure analysis. Design of custom lower-limb orthoses. Development of software tools for biomechanical data analysis. Full-body 3D scanning and DICOM image processing and analysis.
